Kilobots XXXIV is a wrap!

Canadian National Championship 2016
Congratulations everyone on another successful event! The Sask Expo marked their attendance at just over 15300 people, and going by the mass of never ending people surrounding the Kilobots arena, I’d say most of them stopped by to watch at least a few fights!

Watch the Past Events page for fight videos to start going up, and watch Sasktel Max Local On Demand for the event to be televised soon!
You can re-watch the live stream for a limited time here: https://www.twitch.tv/fingertechrobotics/profile

If you saw the event and would like to build a robot, Saskatoon TechWorks is holding a workshop where you will build a Viper kit!
Two dates are available: Oct 1 and Oct 8.

Kilobots XXXIII done, on to XXXIV

Kilobots XXXIII is all wrapped up and was a fun outdoor event as usual! Videos from the event are posted on the Past Events page. It was a great event for testing new ideas and creations before September’s big Canadian National Championship!

Kilobots XXXIII and XXXIV dates

Kilobots XXXIII – August 13, 2016 @ Express Hobbies

The summer SCRC Kilobots event has been locked in! We will be at Express Hobbies on August 13 for a single-day battle blitz! This is the perfect event to test your creations before the big annual Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo event!

Kilobots XXXIV (Canadian National Championship) – September 17-18, 2016 @ Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo

Costumes, comics, sci-fi, gaming – and Kilobots!  With over 14,000 attendees, the Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo is the perfect venue for us to host the Canadian National Championship.  September 17-18 is expected to have over 40 robots fighting it out for prizes and glory!

Kilobots XXXII now playing on TV

If you are a Sasktel Max subscriber, the Kilobots XXXII tournament that was held last month at Spectrum 2016 is now playing On Demand!
If you can’t watch it there, check out the YouTube playlists of every fight just added to the Past Events page!  (It’s just a single camera with no commentary, but the fights are still awesome!)

Registration for Kilobots 32 is now open!

Kilobots 32 – January 14-17, 2016 @ Cameco Spectrum (University of Saskatchewan)
Every three years this massive event takes place at the UofS.  It is the largest student-run science and engineering expo, showing off the latest technologies and student projects.  As it has for the past 12 years, Kilobots will be the main event with Saskatoon TechWorks and the IEEE Robotics Club flanking the arena in the huge tractor lab.  We already have teams from as far away as Florida signed up to compete, and this event will be filmed for television!  Spectrum attracts thousands of spectators, so if you have been waiting for a big event to debut your bots, this is it!

Register HERE.  Payments must be received by January 8th.

SaskExpo is almost here!!!

Kilobots 31 – September 19-20, 2015 @ Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo

Saskatoon Expo is the largest and fastest growing pop culture convention in the province, and has joined forces with SCRC to really knock your socks off this year! Not that you needed any more reason to attend – costumes, comics, sci-fi, gaming – and now Kilobots!

There are a record number of robots registered for this event, which means a ton of awesome fights!  Don’t miss out, get your Expo tickets now!
